DC Marketing Tech Talks: Digging into Data to Optimize Your Marketing

We hear and we know it: data is the lifeblood of the modern marketer.

However, there are lots of different kinds of data available to help a marketer crush it.  There’s Google Analytics data, sales data, Big Data, and marketing automation data. There’s survey research data, panel data, advertising data, social media data, and now location-based data. So how can you use all this data to optimize marketing?

In this event, we’ll start by looking at how consumer intelligence is transformed by location-based data. Next, we’ll explore how to use data to optimize marketing channels and budgets using all of these online data sources together with offline data.

Join us– together with the DC Marketo Users Group– to hear about the art and science of data from two DC leaders, Jolene Wiggins, CMO of Gravy Analytics and David Young, Senior Group Director, NeuStar MarketShare.

Speaker Bios

Jolene Wiggins

Jolene Wiggins is the Chief Marketing Officer at Gravy Analytics. As CMO, Jolene oversees the company’s brand, including consumer insights, digital marketing, sponsorships and communications. Jolene has extensive experience building marketing strategies and teams at both start-ups and large enterprises. She joined Gravy Analytics from Time Warner Cable, where she led eCommerce product management and product marketing. Jolene’s 15-plus years in the mobile industry have included marketing, business development and product leadership roles at Aol, Sprint and Nextel Communications. Jolene holds a BA from Wellesley College and an MBA from Cornell University.

The work optimizes over 2 billion dollars of advertising budgets annually across offline and online media channels. He has 25 years of experience in advanced statistical analysis applied to Marketing: MMM, Choice Modeling, Customer Targeting, CRM, Market Segmentation, etc. He previously lived in Spain for ten years and speaks Spanish. David is currently authoring a book on: “Marketing Model Alignment; Advanced Topics in Goal Alignment – Model Formulation” and is an invited speaker at various Marketing Science venues.
